Hi, I’m Nik, and this is the site to hopefully change my life for the better. Up until recently, I was a very sedentary and unhealthy person - in most cases, I still am. But, either due to my age or my growing family, I am motivated to change this.
Currently, I’m teetering on obese, I eat like crap, and I sporadically exercise. I’ve done a couple of half marathons somehow and have a few more ahead; however, I am by far no kind of healthy, active individual. But a surprising thing that came across me is I discovered Zwift, hooking up my bike from when I used to cycle into work before moving away. I’ve been getting used to it since the end of Jan 26.
With that, I have two main goals - firstly to shift this weight and get healthier and fitter, but also to use Zwift to train myself up to actually go out and explore the country. I live down in Somerset, in South West England, which gives beautiful views, lovely flats, and multiple areas of outstanding beauty and moorland that seem to be at high elevations; so it’s a perfect area to start cycling around.
