As of a couple of days ago I had completed a stage in each leg of the Tour de Zwift - something that I’d consider a bit of an achievement since I started.

For someone getting back into things, getting that consistency to walk 10ft in rain to my office/bike room is key. One of the things that I do like about Zwift is these events that they run. Being able to do them with the new Zwifter club I discovered on Reddit as group events and sweatily reach over and type messages about “how these hills are actually nice and gentle” has also been a weekly highlight to my rides.
Outside of the Zwift stuff, I’ve been doing … okay… in the week I’ve been doing stuff properly good - eating well, keeping hydrated, etc. But there’s been a lot of stress with dealing with certain companies that seem to make replacing a punctured tyre seem more difficult than resolving conflict in the Middle East; as well as my daughter’s birthday which obviously means eating like it’s a kid’s birthday… some of which has rolled into this Monday. I’ve yet to measure the effects of this, but I’m not feeling positive!
But that’s part of the journey I guess, sometimes you will fall from the metaphorical bicycle and you have to get back on it - so here we go, just in time for the Zwift Games.
Till next time 🚴🏻
